Known for having a "stick it to the man" mentality, Subrosa was a notoriously difficult client to create a social media ad for. Subrosa's brand and audience wouldn't take kindly to having price tags shoved in their faces, but the purpose of the ad is to sell product.
To combat this, I decided to create a modified version of the multimedia content Subrosa regularly uploads. I used Subrosa-endorsed clips of popular BMX riders and labelled the parts that are available for sale on the company's site. My hope is that this hybrid ad style encourages clients to buy the same gear as their BMX idols while maintaining a subtle enough message to keep this picky audience interested.
